The Pope “from the end of the world,” as he introduced himself. And yet, one of the most relatable we can remember.
He didn’t make power a pedestal, but a platform to say what others kept silent. With simple gestures, firm ideas, and a way that was very much his own, he reminded us that humanity is not a choice, but a responsibility.
Francis broke the mold. He spoke of embracing, of caring, of inclusion. He engaged in difficult conversations. He made people uncomfortable. He inspired. He shook up structures that seemed immovable.
Today we say goodbye to him not only as a spiritual leader, but as a global leader who challenged us to be better people. From wherever you look, that leaves a mark.
