Innovation as a Pillar of the Future

Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity, not a threat. And the future belongs to those capable of taking the risk and accepting the responsibility and challenge of creating it. Innovation is, for today’s organizations, something as vital as the air we breathe and something vital cannot be something that is worked on a one-off basis, that is limited to a single department. For innovation to be real and tangible in projects, products and services, it is essential that it ceases to be something aspirational and becomes an everyday occurrence within everyone’s reach.

Every human being is an innovator by nature. And no company can afford not to use the creative potential and take advantage of the innovative spirit that is latent in each and every one of the collaborators, whatever the sector in which we work. Leading brands, such as Mallplaza, rather than predicting the future, choose to create it.

For all of us in the TOTEM team, having accompanied the Mallplaza team in the Mallplaza of the Future project has been incredible.
We want to thank them for their vision, courage and motivation to face together the journey towards innovation. Transversal innovation as an integrating axis of strategy, tactics and operations. Thank you for creating a safe and tolerant environment where each and every person who has participated in this project has been able to be authentic and true to themselves. This has brought out the innovative thinking that ALL human beings carry within.

A central vision of the impact Mallplaza will have as a company in the future, with concepts focused on how it will be relevant to people’s lives and integrated serving the individual and their needs in the future. Making innovation a cross-cutting mindset and exercise that permeated the entire MallPlaza.

We have reached the end of a new stage of this exciting journey where transversal innovation has borne fruit. Where lawyers and architects talk about operations and metaverse, where sales people talk to gamers on Twitch or where computer scientists participate in a sustainability manifesto. All this diversity translates into something very clear: the innovative strength of an organization is in ALL its members and, for the magic to happen, we just need to give clue (and a little bit of method and guidance) to our teams, without exception.

It has been an honor to share with MallPlaza’s great team the construction of an innovative, human, sustainable and sustainable future in a collaborative and co-creative way.
