Disconnect & Enjoy

Is a different kind of disconnection possible? A real disconnection? Disconnecting from the urgent to connect with the important?

The best time to disconnect is coming, the beginning of the summer vacations in the northern hemisphere, and the winter holidays in the southern hemisphere.

It is in these moments of exhaustion and excitement that there is a different approach that we want to highlight, the possibility of a real disconnection.

There is a deep relationship between tourism and real disconnection: promoting travel experiences that encourage to disconnect from daily routines, technology and the fast-paced world we live in, entering a world of relaxation, harmony, tranquility, happiness; to reconnect with ourselves and with nature.

We just need to open our senses and be present in the moment. Here are some suggestions:

1) Retreats in nature: There are destinations known for their natural beauty, such as national parks, mountains or secluded beaches. There is no better way to enjoy nature by hiking and camping.

2) Digital detox experiences: Disconnect from technology in accommodations without Wi-Fi or with limited access to electronic devices. With alternative activities such as yoga, meditation or retreats focused on mindfulness and relaxation.

3) Cultural immersion: Encourage travelers to disconnect from their familiar surroundings and immerse themselves in the local culture. To participate in traditional activities, such as cooking classes, traditional music and dance workshops or visits to artisans.

4) Wellness-focused accommodations: Hotels and resorts that prioritize wellness and disconnection. Ideally with technology-free zones, tranquil spaces and amenities such as spa facilities, yoga studios and meditation areas.

Disconnecting on vacation is important for during and after:

Rest and recuperation: Adequate rest while on vacation allows the body and mind to relax, rejuvenate and recover from accumulated stress.

Improved performance: Taking time off and disconnecting allows for revitalized creativity and productivity. Getting away from work tasks and obligations provides an opportunity to gain a fresh, renewed perspective.

Strengthening personal relationships: Vacations offer the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends to strengthen bonds and create shared memories.

At TOTEM Branding, we value disconnection. And with the imminent arrival of the vacation period we believe it is the time to explore unknown places, immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature, add new cultures and create memories that will last a lifetime. It’s time to leave stress behind and give way to relaxation, peace and serenity.
