Strengthening the Dominican Republic’s tourism branding strategy

TOTEM Branding is proud to share its participation in strengthening the Dominican Republic’s tourism branding strategy.

At an event that marks a milestone for the sector, new destination brands have been presented that seek to enhance the rich diversity and unique appeal of the Caribbean country.

Aware of the importance of a solid and differentiating brand strategy, work has been done to create identities that capture the essence of each region, offering travelers authentic and unforgettable experiences.

As highlighted at FITUR, where the Dominican Republic shone with its own light, five key brands have been presented that will drive the growth of the destination:

Under the leadership of the Ministry of Tourism, work has been done to create and renew the brands of key destinations such as Miches, Samaná, Santiago and Costa del Ámbar. The new branding strategy highlights the rich variety of experiences that the Dominican Republic offers.

From the pristine beaches and ecotourism in Miches, to the vibrant culture and traditions of Santiago, to the stunning natural beauty of Samaná and the historic charm of the Amber Coast, each destination is being designed to highlight its unique identity and broaden the country’s appeal.

“The Dominican Republic is much more than beaches and paradisiacal landscapes; we are a nation with a rich, diverse cultural identity and a warm and welcoming population. This project is essential to show the world the true potential of each of our destinations, positioning us at the forefront of global tourism, aligned with the new demands of travelers for unique, sustainable and enriching experiences,” said the Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, David Collado.

This strategic effort seeks to better position the Dominican Republic internationally and will also have a positive impact on the national economy, social development, job creation and foreign investment, among many other benefits.
